Calide Consulting is a Canadian HSE, WCB, and emergency response firm built on real-world experience and straight answers. Specializing in Alberta and British Columbia, serving employers across Canada.
Calide Consulting was founded in 2004 to give Canadian employers a better kind of safety and compliance partner; one that understands the work, speaks plainly, and scales to fit. We bring together three disciplines that most businesses have to source from separate vendors: workplace health and safety, workers’ compensation, and emergency response planning.
What sets us apart is where our people come from. Our consultants have worked inside the WCB system, earned their COR certifications, and spent real time on job sites and in the field. That experience means we don’t hand you theory; we give you guidance that holds up in an audit, at an appeal, and during an emergency.
Programs and plans your team will actually use, fit for purpose, not binders that gather dust.
From one consultant to a full team, you get what the situation needs and nothing you don’t.
No jargon, no obligation, just straight guidance you can act on.
Calide was founded by Carrie Norman, a health and safety leader with more than 23 years in Canada’s oil, gas, and energy sector. Based in Grande Prairie, Carrie has built and strengthened HSE programs for established producers across the region, leading work from site assessments and contractor management to emergency response planning and board level reporting.
Her range is what shaped Calide. The firm brings together all three disciplines that most companies have to source separately, HSE program development, WCB claims and cost management, and emergency response planning, because Carrie has worked inside each one, from the field to the WCB system to the leadership table.
That experience is now the backbone of how Calide works, and it is how the firm delivers measurable incident reductions, real WCB savings, and safety cultures that crews actually buy into. Calide was built to give Canadian employers practical, hands on support and straight answers.
Carrie holds a wide range of safety credentials, including NCSO and OHS certification, ISO 45001 and 14001 lead auditor training, and incident investigation through TapRoot, SCAT, 5 Whys and DNV, to name a few. Safety has always come first, and she earned her medical response training as a licensed EMT and paramedic so she could act when an incident happened on site.
Calide works to the certifications, systems, and standards your operation is measured against, from COR and ISO 45001 to ISNetworld and ComplyWorks.
No obligation, just clear answers. Tell us what you’re dealing with; a claim, an audit, a plan, or just a question, and we’ll point you in the right direction.
